1. General
In line with government’s vision towards e-governance and an acute capability to recognize the importance of the Internet in today’s “New Economy”, CDEC has created e-Clearance, the on-line connection of the Freight Forwarders, Brokers, Importers and Exporters to the Bureau of Customs.

2. Manifest Submission
CDEC has developed the AMS or Air Manifest System and the SMS or the Sea Manifest System to enable Freight Forwarders/Consolidators to submit their inbound consolidation manifest data to the Bureau of Customs even before the goods arrive. This is to pave way for a faster shipment processing and release of their Inbound Shipments.

3. Customs Clearance

a. CUSDEC - Import
CUSDEC-Import automates the entire customs declaration process. It enables Customs Brokers and Importers to create and transmit import entry declaration to the Bureau of Customs, and receive the Customs assessment of the actual Duties and Taxes to be paid.

Part of the Valued-added features of this module is its capability to compute an estimated value of the Duties and Taxes for the benefit of the Importer’s planning and costing requirement.

b. CUSDEC - Export
CUSDEC-Export has been conceptualized to allow Exporters to create and submit Export Declarations through the Internet, and receive the corresponding Customs Response. This module also covers the liquidation of import declarations of raw materials and the corresponding management of bonds of the import shipment.
